ADHD, addiction, and rapid detox

Hi all------

She has ADHD

Could anyone tell me about rapid detox? I've heard quite a bit and seen some TV about it in relationship to opiates. Does it work with alcohol, cocaine, ambian, and Xanex? There is a program that's gotten coverage from one of the talk shoes.
My XAGF went through it. The physical transformation was amazing. In 10 days, you couldn't believe the before and after pictures. She now has approx. 40 days sober (far as I know). Just got back from a 5-day follow up. Is this thing for real, or is it searching for Aladen's Lamp?
I've also heard horror stories about people dying from it and programs being suspended that are using it.
Would appreciate your opinion.
Thanks,
larry

I honestly do not know much at all about Rapid detox, but I sure would love to hear more. It's strange, seems like people that have been through it seem to jus tsay, I went through Rapid Detox, and they don't elaborate on it???

So,,, ANYONE out where with info. please let us all know. I am just curious?
Even more curious because people don't seems to share much on it..

Larry....i've never heard anything about it. I'm sure there would be more people in the AA forum and the Narc forum who have probably heard of it. Not that you aren't welcome here, because you are always welcome here....you just might get more responses in one or both of those forums.

however there are several who frequent this forum who have dealt personally with substance abuse so maybe they will know something about it.

I didn't know Ambien was addictive? Is it addictive?

Anyway....((((welcome to the mental health forum)))....hope you find some answers soon.

Hugs and God Bless,
Jenna
