Yucky question about teeth?

Ok.....anybody got any home remedies for toothaches?

I'm 29 and until now only had 1 cavity when i was 26. Now...just in the last few months my teeth are falling apart!

I've got 4 teeth that are dissenigrating. The last couple of days anytime i eat anything several peices of my back tooth comes off! That one....nearly the whole side is gone. And one of my canine's is the same way...they are actually rotting. yuck! and OUCH!!!

I can't afford to go to the dentist. I went to one back in Feb. or March and she just took an exray of a top molar that was hurting (but not falling apart) and said i needed a root canal. I had insurance back then and even so i had to come up with about $600 which i had no way to get.

So now things are worse and i'm pretty sure i'm gunna have to lose several teeth over this, i just don't understand why all the sudden?

Do you think my bipolar meds could have anything to do with this? Or stress? or something else?

Oral Gel or a baby asprin placed directly on the tooth will work for a bit.

Root canal @$1000 or pulled @ $250 or 150 if novacane is the only pain med used.

No matter what, you will be hurting for a day or two.

I tried to read your reply...but I get eeked out by teeth, so I made it about 2 1/2 sentences in before I had to stop reading. Without knowing anything about what you want, mouthwash is something that most people don't use, that they probably should use. It is good for killing general junk in your mouth. It might sting some if you have puffy gums because of inflamation....but like rubbing alcohol on a cut....it is doing its job if it stings.

Splendra, yeah that works great but id rather suck on a sparkplug of a lawn mower as some one it trying to start it. Yuck
just a thought if you have willows around strip the bark of and suck on the wood, it is a natures pain killer and if you feel like chewing it for me chewing some thing helps or a hot or ice pack too.

Peda...LOL......I know some people are that way, my sis is too...that's why i used the title that i did for the thread so people would know that it could gross them out. I'm embarrassed about it all myself....just not much i can do...don't even have the money to get them pulled like Rx-7 suggested

which by the way RX.....willow bark? How'd ya find out about that one?
Don't think we have many around here, but i'll look around anyway cus i know i've seen them before just not very often.

Splendra....thanks for the suggestion...but cloves is something i definetly can't do without loosing my lunch. I got started smoking cloves because i loved the smell and the taste....but they were so strong that it would make me sick to smoke a whole clove cigerrette which i only wanted to smoke one a night anyway...like as a dessert cigerrette....anyway i asked a guy for a smoke in a bar one night and they were Doral's and i was hooked on cigs and never have been able to handle the taste or smell of cloves since.

Boy do i know how to make longs stories out of nothing...LOL

Anyway thanks guys

willow bark well my mother is an herbalist i learned when i was 6 because thats when my teeth went to sand that when asprin was first made way back when it was made with crsuhed up willow bark ITs also a remidy that the Indians used among other herbs that were known then. Naturopathic things sometimes realy help alot better then normal means. Like using cyane pepper when you cut your self in the kitchen or where ever hurts like hell but it coawagulates the blood stopping the bleeding faster. Comfry which if used in a cut after the bleeding is done will help it heal with out scarring. and so on.

I'm not sure if there is a direct link between bipolar and dental problems, but i have done some reading which suggests a relationship between dental problems and health problems in general and mental health issues and personally i think there may be something to it--my first and only total freakout came shortly after having major root canal work done. Some people have also experienced relief from depression after having mercury amalgum fillings removed.
