| Recovery Plan
I've been helped by writing a recovery plan. Setting a plan with reachable goals will add structure and consistancy to your life. This can be as simple as setting a bedtime and wake up time. Or, you can list some chores to do or even a hobby. As you complete things check them off. Don't look to complete the list. Just look to do a little more each day. I was told once while out of work, the best way to find a job is to keep job hours. This meant getting up and dressed for work at work hours. Did this find me a job? Not sure but, the reason behind it was to feel good about myself. No medication is going to make you feel good. Medication without a recovery plan is only a dream. This is why treatment centers have changed their thinking. The day you arrive they have you start planning for discharge. The V A found that without a recovery plan, Veterans were happy to just hang out. Many plan to be sick. You must picture yourself as getting better to get better.
