Breastfeeding and Psych Medications??

Hi Everyone!

Time is drawing near and I was wondering if any of you moms out there that are on or have been on various psych meds during or after pregnancy that continued on to breastfeed your baby and if you had any recommendations. I don't want my baby to be lethargic or anything. My OB said all I can do is try and see what happens..my psych is against it. I really want to do it though, but know i can't go off my meds for anything. Any advice would help. Thank you.

Michelle

What meds are you on and I'll look them up. In my searches, I've come across information regarding breastfeeding, but every med is different. Or you could go to google and type in the drugs you are taking one at a time, with the word breastfeeding. I'm not a mom, so I have no experience there. I hope you find the answers you need. Take care.

Remind me again what meds you're on specifically and I can do some research for you, OK? Although there probably are not many data on the newer meds, just 'cause they haven't been around that long. PM if you like, Michelle.

Love and hugs,
Eddie
