so glad to find you people.

I have just accidently stumbled upon this sight and i'm sooooooooo glad that i did. i'm bi-polar and spend most of my life hidding it. by nature i am a very honest pearson but i'm forced to tell lies to people i really like to cover up for it. i dont like lieing to peolpe. i feel really ashamed of what i am and its such a releif to be able to admit it to other human beings. i think the shame is one of the worse things about it.

thanks for listening

spit.

Welcome to SR.
I think you are going to like it here.
you will find there are others who are dealing with the same issues as yourself, myself included.

the brain is an organ and it can go wrong like any other, and be treated, and be helped. Don't be ashamed - you're worth as much as the next person!!

Welcome Spitrire!! My mother found out that she is bipolar back in 1999..You have nothing to be ashamed about!! They told me it is hereditary and that my mom has always had it..All the people are great here! Don't ever feel ashamed of yourself!!

Also check out Anything But Your Name for those times when you just want to let something out, but you don't want it to linger. (Everything gets removed after 24 hours) It is the virtual version of just yelling into a pillow for no other reason than you just gotta let it out!

Welcome to SR! I am pretty new too and I have really found reading the posts a great help in my own struggles. My sister was diagnosed bi-polar type I a few years ago and I will diagnosed last summer type II-

I understand how you feel. I always knew there was something different but I tried my darnest to just "be normal" I worked overtime at it- Now I am beginning to realize that there is no such thing.........and that is ok.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
