Man, are you supposed to feel like your tripping on LSD when you take klonopin? I took it last night and for about an hour and a half I felt like I was tripping but I did finally get to sleep after that. My eyes were even dilalated. Is this normal when you first start taking klonopins? vanhoutte37 |

Maybe the dosage was WAY too high- I was given a prescription for Klonopin last summer- It did not have any side effects and I thought it was worthless so I stopped taking it- I think they gave you too much....

Maybe it triggered a flashback or you had an allergic reaction? I took it for a while for OCD and panic anxiety. It helped a little but also made me sleepy if I took to much. What was it prescribed for? Paul J |

| Not Normal! Talk to Your Doctor!
I was on Klonopin for 5 years, it is NOT NORMAL to feel like you are trippin'! I felt very tired for the first week or so but no hallucinations, or visual disturbances at all. You need to talk to your doctor ASAP and tell him what your symptoms were. He may need to lower your dose. Klonopin is a very strong tranquilizer, so please be careful, and NEVER drink alcohol or mix any other drugs with it! Take care. Luv; Jaz

Studies in regard to LSD are contraversial, and have mixed results at best. There is a renewed interest in using LSD in a number of research studies ranging from treating PTSD to anxiety disorders to schizophrenia. Some major universities (ex. Harvard) are now exploring research related to LSD use. *Disclaimer* I do not support any use/abuse of illegal drugs, but I have read about a dozen clinical studies involving LSD, and I can see some benefits of using it in controlled environment and under the supervision of a medical professional. -pedagogue

Bottom line....talk to your physician and see what they suggest. Also, please be careful with your alcohol intake because that can have a greater effect on you if you are taking the medication. Off hand I'm not sure if there are any other restrictions, but I KNOW alcohol is not recommended...at least until you stabilze on your dosage. -pedagogue

I had friend who received an accidental higher dose then intended of Klonopin 2 years ago and became addicted to it which is extremely rare. He was soon fixed after several weeks in a drug addiction treatment center. Interesting to read about the researching possibilities of LSD, thanks.
