| Lithium and Sex Drive Q&A
I have been on Lithium for a year now and have had some great results in mania/bipolar. I still have panic attacks though. I am working on meditation to help with the attacks. I also have Hypothyroidism and I am on meds for that as well. On the subject though I have lost my sex drive almost completely. I am 27 years old. I have been studying a bit cause my doctor says there is nothing to do but use Cealus or Viagra. With is just a cold erection with no drive. I found out that Deprenyl and Bromocriptine can be used to increase Dopamine level whitch is directly related to sex drive. These two drugs are related to pharkinson disease to moderate the shakes. Has anyone one try either of these to drugs and had results. I am going to consult my doctor in a week or two. but wanted to find out if anyone has heard of this. Thanks for your help. Matt |

Matt, I found that my antidepressants were killing my sex drive and my psychiatrist recommended Gingko biloba. I take 120mg twice a day and it helps! It also helps with my ADD, so it's killing two birds with one stone for me. Even though it is over-the-counter, I don't recommend taking it without the approval of your doctor and/or pharmacist because it does interact with some other meds. Wishing you well! Peace, love, and hugs, Eddie
