ped, Somehow I missed your post earlier. Why not go back to the Noir? I love a man wearing that. Thanks, Erratic! Anoi anoi? And Ann, I've seen that plant but didn't know about the fragrance. Maybe I'll look for one. Love and hugs, Eddie |

I think Erratic means Anais Anais, and yes it's very nice, I used to wear that a while back and maybe I'll try it again for a change.

Oh, Eddie, you've got me hooked on fragrances now...one that I forgot that is absolutely beautiful is Champs Elysees by Guerlain. My brother, of all people, bought me a bottle for Christmas a couple of years ago and it's one of the prettiest perfumes I have ever worn. It's also a bit hard to get, but I like to go to a place that carries and sells a lot of perfume. Some stores let them sit too long and they smell a bit off sometimes. That's it, I'm not looking in here anymore,

I'm currenlty on an online bidding war for a bottle of the new Vera Wang perfume. It's so summery and fresh he's the description: Vera Wang has captured desire in a modern, floral bouquet. The first encounter is a flirtation that begins with Bulgarian rose, calla lily, and mandarin flower. The flirtation is followed by a passionate kiss of gardenia, lotus, iris, and white stephanotis. The fragrance is wrapped in a final embrace of sheer musks, white woods, and precious floral nectar. yummy.....It's like $85 in the shop, so I'm hoping to scoop up a cheapie on ebay. Love to you all: SS

Yeah, thanks for sharing that, SS! What's the name of that fragrance anyway? Hey, Becky!! I need to buy a new thing of tanning lotion with tingle, but I don't think I can afford the ones I really want that smell good, too. Bombshell by Designer Skin is supposedly kiwi-watermelon, but somehow it reminds me of cinnamon. It's also $55 a bottle! Maybe next time... Love and hugs, Eddie :rose |

Oh, you are all so out of my league LOL Now for the cheapies like me...I get alot of comments on Fantasy Fragrance Body Spray in a cute plastic bottle. The Vanilla Musk and I just bought a purse size of Light Musk. But the Vanilla musk I get alot of comments "What are you wearing....you smell really nice". And I use Downey in my clothes and I get comments on that too. I love the smell of Downey. I love Jergens lotion and Peach bubble bath. I just bought a candle "Chocolate Berries"...smells wonderful.

Yeah, I'm shopping out of my league. Totally. I've been that annoying girl at the make-up perfume counter every Friday begging for samples. As I mentioned before, I now enough free foundation to last a month. But I got a sample of the Vera Wang and I love it!!! I went back for another and they said NO....I never buy perfume. Of course, the first time I fall in love with one, it's like $85 dollars a bottle. I had put aside $40 (the amount I used to spend on 1 damn pill with ease) to buy it and was shocked at the price. I'm hoping to get a deal on eBay - so far I've been outbid on every dang bottle. Angelgirl - why they heck do people bid up the price so high!! Most bottles have sold for $75, which, when add in S&H is the same as in the store!!! Eddie - I know it's not exactly what you're looking for (as I believe you do tan), but I have been using the Jergens 'simply glowing' ($5 CVS) and it really works! It moisturizes and gives you a real nice tan. It's not as strong as an actual rub on tan, so you don't get the icky orange streaks...I love it!!! Oooh, lets keep this thread going....

-ped ps. The trick was to wait 4-5 months for all of the 'free' t-shirts to sell...and I sold it around december (great holiday gift for that Apple fan who has everything!)

Hey Josie, I just go up to the counter at Macy's of Dillards & act rich. I usually just ask for a sample outright. My sister (who is a serious buyer) does it all the time. If they offer you just a little card sniffer - say, well, I've bought SOOO much perfume here and I like it when I first smell it, but it changes once I've worn it for a few hours/days. Can I have a sample I can wear for a few days before I come back and buy it?? I do the same for foundation and bronzers, etc. It really is hard to match up foundation correctly, so ask for a week's supply to see if it's right. It's good to know a little about thier cosmetics (ie pretend you buy there all the time), and they will usually give you a nice little tube. Also, if I'm bored, I'll go, ack interetsed and they will usually give you a make-over. Head in before a date or a night out, tell them your colors, pretend you want to buy something, and they'll make you up real nice. Especially if the girls at the counter are bored... We need to start a thread on FUN things you can do for free... Currently, I'm entering all sorts of contests from the magazines I read, and often the companies will send you a free sample for acting interested in thier product. Careful, though, as some 'free samples' mean they sign you up as a member and then automatically start billing you. Just make sure to keep track and then CALL....Which reminds me, I have to make a call to some 'tooth whitening' company and explain why I don't like the sample - lol! G'day ladies! SS
