General Funk Busters: Coping Methods

Hey All,

I thought it might be useful to list some general coping methods for people to help them get out of 'funks'. Every once in awhile I get into a funk (not a deep depression or anything to that degree, but more of a dull "blah" for lack of a clinical term. )The duration is usually short, maybe a couple days, and the pre-cursor is usually stress and/or environmental change. I have developed some coping methods that usually work for acute bouts of funk/mild depression, and I thought I'd share them, and also find out what other people do.

*Get/Stay active. Physical exercise almost always helps.
*Journal/Write/Reflect constructively
*Play the piano (music is a big part of my life)
*Consult with a friend/colleague
*Cook (I'm a closet chef. i want to eventually take real lessons/courses to refine my skills)

So what are yours?

Yoga or pilates. Coffee with a girlfriend. Lying down watching a great film on TV.
