Haven't seen you lately. I saw that you replied to Lilya's post, but would love to hear what's going on in your life. How is your daughter's recovery, your son? Does he live away at school? What are your plans for the holidays. Let us know when you get a minute. Happy Holidays, Juls

Dear Juls, Thanks for remembering me yet again. I have actually been "off" for several reasons. I shared this site w/ my son and hoped that if I stayed away he might access it. I will share what I'm feeling as I sort it all out (and that will take some time). It looks like he had a very difficult finals week.....I'm not sure what choices he will make. my daughter's recovery is superb. As a matter of fact she went to a dance on Fri and danced! Yesterday I was reiki 1 trained. It was a wonderful experience. Very peaceful. (It would be a neat addition to your esthetician services) For now, I feel the need to just be quiet and see what emerges. I hope your holiday is filled with all that you wish for for you and yours. I am grateful that I have your support. Talk to you soon (((((love))))) Mamabear

Mamabear, I am familiar with Reiki work, but am not sure if this is something that would be good for me to do. It is energy work, and to practice it on another, I think I would have to be more emtionally balanced than I am. LOL I am concerned to take in another's energy that might end up draining me. I had to get out of counseling because I was too sensitive to things. I am very interested to hear how your training went though. What exactly transpired? We don't always have to be talking about the things that are difficult in our lives. I like to share other experiences as well. Juls

Hi Juls, Well, remember I have very limited training and am only a level 1 You wouldn't be drained. The theory is that energy flows through the person giving it to the person receiving it. It comes from whatever you believe your energy source is...your Higher Power. It is soothing and comforting. I find it to be very prayerful. I guess what I feel most is a sense of gentle warmth. The emotion I feel is that of gratitude. As with anything, it's not for everyone. If you're curious, I would try a session or two with someone in your area, preferably someone you know and trust so you can relax. It is done fully clothed either sitting up or lying down. I've been told that it can help balance too but I'm not that far yet! Hey. Thanks for asking And I'm going to post a question about meds (I'm ready to talk a bit) so if you could answer I'd love it. Happy Christmas prep. (((((love))))) Mamabear

2stop, How are you new home owner!!! We have an ice delay so I have a few minutes at home before work. I love decorating, too. And the first time is so much fun. I think you'd like reiki because of your spirituality. if you do it, find someone with the same religious affiliation you have and I think it will be very pleasant for you. ((((lotsa love))))) Mamabear. p.s. posted a thread. Could you respond?

My kids had a two hour school delay..just walked them over and another mother gave me a ride back. I didn't want to get outta bed fornothing today! Before leaving for the school with the kids I was looking for mu earrings(Itry to do make-up and one piece of jewelry every day) anyways..looked an dlooked...finally when puting my hat on to walk out the door..I felt them..in my ears alraedy LOL....One of those days already! It's awesome owning our home... I go outside even in the snow and just look and look, plan what I am going to do with it, what to add, tear down, improve and I think my neighbors thoink I am anut but that's okay.My neighboe to my right is sooo sweet. She brought me a housewqarming gift sat morning, a large 4 wick red cranberry candle on a black iron pedestal..She made me cry..I feel so good here. For 18 years in Texas and through all the hell down there I prayed that God would help me get "home" and he did....but I had to be in TX...I have a wonderful husband and two precious angels for kids. And I learned a lot through all the tribulations in TX, I thought I was cursed, I was just in the classroom God needed me in to be able help others who suffer wiyh similar problems to mine. What thread do you mean? ((((((((((lots of love n hugs))))))))))))):redrose
