Tammie,

Congratulations. I am so happy for you. You have waited so long, and gone through so much. I know the feeling when you finally get your house. Break out the Martinellis and do your happy dance girl. Love on your husband, and let him love on you. You both deserve it.

When your through jumping up and down, give us the tour. You know bedrooms, kitchen, what it looks like, what you want to do with it, etc.

ThaNKS EVERYONE FOR THE SUPPORT AND CONGRATS!

~WOODTICK..funny you mentione just don't dance on the roof, I was all prepared to climbb out my kids bedroom windows onto the roof and hang some Christmas lights, my husband forbade it. I don't mind very well, especially when told I am "forbidden"..LOL It's an ancestral Adam and Eve genetic dysfunctional tendency i guess..
He's in bed now anyways...I may hang em anyways! LOL

~Steve, lurkings, and Denise...you all are so sweet to me. Love ya bunches and bunches. SR is the best and most important family to me, or my present one wouldn't put up with me anymore!!

~Lilya & Bonni, my hubby is in bed right now, and I can't get him to dance anyways..oh well. I have on some techno/trance music and am decorating away and dreaming of new furniture and other cool stuff. I can't dance well unless I am drunk. Used to clear the dance floors in Houston clubs, but that was after 10-15 rum and cokes and shots of Tequila!

(((Lilya)) I AM SO GLAD YOU HAD THE "RIGHT" FEELING..YOU HAVE REAL GOOD PRE-COGNITION/INTUITION.. Bless your heart.

~Lee, Think I'll invest in one of those luxurious Vegas-style padded headboards, or play like G.I. Jane and wear the Army helmet I have...LMAO here...I have lost my mind, Turned into a wild woman!!

Oh I would love to learn the Argentinen TANGO....I watch alot of the dancing competitions on the PBS chanels...it's soo romantic. My husband is Irish and while "passionate about 'revolutions'and such, bedroom romance is more like, well, like wham bm thank you ma'am..but he does love me dearly and would do anything toi make me happy...except dance!!! LOL...........

~Juls..I have loads of plans for the house. It is a cute house. Frame, with aluminum siding, kinda a simple Cape Cod style. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, a bathrom, lots of cabinets in the bathroom. There is a small double sink washing/sewing room. Off our master bedroom there is a nursery sized closed in room(a converted porch I believe) a wonderful view of the backyard, The backyard is like a "Secret garden" Lots of japanese trees, maple trees, thr yard is circled with Butterfly bushes, thewhite butterfliesd in spring/summer are soo cool, the back yard is fenced, a creek runs at the back of the property, the sound is so tranquil and relaxing. there is a large one car garage around the back, a covered patio attached to the garage. Part way down the yard is a bricked open patio for atable with umbrella. Going to have hubby build a wood-burning pizza oven besdie it. And have a deck built along the creek wuth a hit tub enclosed ina gazebo with built in benches/storage along the railings. There is a small garden area, a storage shed that matches the house. The front entrance is alonga a busy street, but to go out back you could not tell. Our master bedrooms adjacent room hs windows all around and looks over he backyatrd and you can seee the mountains too! I love the mountains!!!..Anyways, back to the front entrance, you walk into our office which is a converted porch, windows all around. It's bright and cheerful, then you walk into a short hallway, the stairs are to your right, the kitchen straight ahead, to the left of the kitchen is the dining room, an dof course to the left of the entry hallway is the living room. I can't waitto paint, redo the lighting, gotta have good lighting to create the :right" mood for any occasion, I am not 100% sure on the color scheme yet but love earth tones, greys, deep rich browns, rich reds, i love sage green, certain beiges, cerulean blue, purple, silver, white sheer lacy curatains with iron ods or drak woods, I live marble, hardwood floors, sleigh beds, I love Meciterranean style deor, Old World style, Spanish influences and I absolutely have to have a library room built, window seats, wall too wall on all but one wall book cases so tall a sliding ladder is necessary to retrieve a book from the top shelf. Have to haVE ARMOIRES, had some beautiful ones in TX had to sell when we moved up here, my son had a real four poster cedar bed in TX too, we sold with a double sided pillow top matress set, he wants anither one, but also wants either a caotains bed with the drawers undernearth, or a futon bunk with bottom :"sofa". My daughter is going toi have a room fit for a real dive, a royal princess. My kids are two ofthe most unselfish kid sin the world. Poor mama here cannot turn anyone away that needs a place to live)not total strangers mind you, wouldn;t jeopardize my kids well-being) but family and friends need a place they are welcome. But they had to give up or share their rooms a lot. they did it willingly and with kindness,,but some of the friends/family took advantage and wouldn't evn letem come in their room at al..That's when they had to go. Won't have my kids done that way. They are too caring to be treated so cruel, but anyways getting sidetracked, I am going to give these angels of mine a room of their dreams!!!It will take time and we are slowly getting a me based busines going so soon I pray we will be more financially comfortable. I am going to help another person own their own home then. My dad "gifted"the closing cost so we could get this house with no money down, otherwise we woud never have had a chance. Thinking I will take the kids to Habitat For Humanity and e volunteer as a family to help others dreams come true. It's soo exciting to do that. i want a career making people happy and helping themmbring their dreams to life..There's nothing bettre. I am just so full of gratutude tingiht, I fel kinda in shock ya know? Okay. I'd better stop ramblingn I am all over the place..just so excited tonight, been wrapping afew presents I foind ther kids today,

It's 1:45 AM here EST but i have been manic for days and only sleep a few hours a night, maybe now that the house closing is finished i will level off. Have a good night you all. Love you, my angels.......~Hugs~

Tammi,

I hope you are able to get some rest, but it will be hard with so many things to be excited about. Your house sounds wonderful. I love the idea of your library, with a sliding ladder to get the "up-high" books.

I also love your tastes in colors, etc. I have a four poster pine, maple bed, that was handmade by an amish man. I love it. It sits up high, and is so pretty decorated with pretty quilts and pillows. I also love amoires. How many SF is your house. Mine is very charming, but only 1500SF. One day I will have a house that is big enough to have a library.

A home with trees---Ah, it reminds me of when we planted a nice medium size tree (don't know what it is called) in our front yard. My wife says it represented that she had finally had planted her "roots" somewhere.

Congrats on your home, Tammie. It sounds like a beautiful one, and I know that stress one goes through with buying one. Ugh! But the rewards are worth it.

It's not a "fancy" elegant house, but it's a charminG ~home~ It's about 1,500 sq ft, but with the grage added to be the master bedroom suite it will be much larger, There is a heated basement also with a sink and toilet. The house was built in 1925. It's not bad. It was appraised at $62,000..and we purchased it for $42,000. We are so blessed it is unreal. My dad gifetd the down payment to us, with family they let they do that, but said you can't with friends/strangers?? I don't understand it all. I just know it's ours!!

Now for the library, I will have to have my hubby build me akindastorage shed(but classier) outbuilding for my library/office combe, maybe one of thise sunrooms!! I'll be busy for years. But one can always dream! I wish I could invite you all to a dinner party in my back yard yard, it would be so nice to get together f2f and talk and eat and be merry!! ww well, maybe one day. I win the lottery. I'll buy all of you ahome if ys don't own one.
I have been awake all night..been like this a few weeks. Maybe I will calm down now knowing I can clean ND DECORATE ND NOT HAVE TO WORRYING ABOUT packing it all up and moving,

Forgive my long posts, don't have people to call really to tell the good news, but am working on it. Am talking more to the otherr motherrs at the kids school snnf let their kids come over and play. poor lady, think she resrnted me a second, her son did want to go home..in fact wanted to spemnd the night..again! poor mom felt left out and unloved LOL..kids..they can be something. That;s one thiong I always make sure kids, friends, neighbors, strabgers feel comfy in my home and relaxed, won't allow anyone in my house to be nervous. You can open my fridge, raid my cabinets, hell..I wouldn't be upset you went through my drawers. It just doesn't bother me. I love having company,,man I've gotta getta out and make more friends to come over..and I like to go visiting too, Boy I have been absent from life for awhile!! Gotta get my groove back...
