Meditation

Does anyone meditate? Have you ever been prescribed certain meditation excersises? In one of my classes my teacher is really into it and gave everyone in the class a paper about different meditation things you could do for certain moods. I just wanted ya'lls opinion on it.

Lurkings,

I mediated after doing yoga. I sit in front of a lighted candle or a crystal and breath in and out. I empty the mind by counting down from 100 and imagine I see a hand on a blackboard erase the numbers as I speak them in my mind.

I also imagine I´m wearing purple and gold scarves and I weave them around my body. The point is to preserve my energy and closing the mind.

I sometimes imagine there is a Lotus flower on my forehead and it turns while I breathe. I imagine there is a globe in the room and as I breathe it comes closer, gets inside my body and becomes a mass of gold.

That is interesting!!!!!!

I have a lot of trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. So a lot of time before I fall asleep I will put on a very relaxing CD *I hate for things to be quiet... it makes me uncomfortable* and I lay on my stomach and focus on my breathing. I imagine that I am breathing in light blue air... It goes in to my lungs and fills up and then I exhale. When I am completely relaxed I imagine these black tube in my body and I start empting them. All the black goes down to my toes and when it is all down there I let it flow out onto the floor and this little lady comes by with a mop and cleans it up. That way it can't get back into my body.

If something is hurt, a month ago I tore all the ligaments in my right ankle, I give the area that is hurt a color. For my ankle I poked a hole in my big toe and let that color drain out onto the floor. When it was all out I plugged the hole back up.

Kind of odd but I think it really helped my ankle. It healed a lot faster this time when I did that, than the last time when I did the same thing to it.

On of the excersises that my teacher gave us was about swallowing a rainbow if you are depressed. So one day at work I went to a room and did the excersis... I didn't feel a hundred percent better but a diffinite edge was taken off my emotions.
