Usually sunny, LOL. Sometimes rainy, always a little cold, but not too bad. I've always wanted to live somewhere where christmas was what it is shown to be, with snow and all that. The computer is fixed now, but my inlaws are here visiting so I haven't been on much. Juls

Juls I would love love to have you for Christmas sometime. We have areas just like a Norman Rockwell poster and just like so many cards you see. I love this area in winter. Ice fishing is fun to watch and at a place called Eagles Mere about 30 miles from here you can toboggan down a hillside out onto a lake where they are ice fishing. In town we have a ice skating pond. also a ice hockey pond! It truly is beautiful. My husband is from California. He wants to take me to Morro Bay (sp?) And San Luis Obispo County is where he is from. His grandfather lives in Grover Beach. He loves talking about growing up there. He said I would definitely love San Francisco...and from the pictures..I really really would!! (((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))

Tammi, I was born and raised in San Francisco. It was wonderful. I love spending time in the city, and going for drives up North along the coast. Also South. San Luis is a lovely town. I am lucky to live fairly close to some coastal towns. Santa Cruz is a 40 minute drive from where I live. All my life I have lived around beaches. I can't imagine not being close to them. There is something about being by the ocean that is so calming and soothing for me. I have read that when you are by the ocean, the negative ions in the air have a calming and soothing effect on the brain. I love any kind of days there, foggy or sunny. But I love it when it is sunny and warm and I can lay out on a blanket and take a nap, while listening to the surf and waves. My first place of my own was a very small barn that was a block from the ocean. There were two lofts, and the one that faced the ocean was where I had my bed. I could see the ocean from the window by my bed. There was also a lovely skylight, where a small crack had allowed a wild rosebush to grow through. Several months out of the year there would be small, delicate roses growing in my house. It was so romantic living there. I would love to come visit you for Christmas too. Do you cut down a fresh tree? I want to do that this year. There are several places up in the mountains, not too far from where I live where you can do that. If you come out here, I'd love to show you around. There are so many good things to see. Juls

This sounds like a dream, Juls. I would love to visit. Paris compared to this - nothing! LOL And you can take a nap on the warm beach! :shades: This is wonderful! I can´t wait to go to Cuba. It probably won´t be until February. Quote:
