I'm sorry I can't join your discussion about the merits of Ozzie footy. I can't even stand American Football. LOL It seems so boring to me, all those big guys running around after a little ball, and they take it so seriously too. Well no intention to offend anyone with that comment. LOL Sports is one of the worlds greatest pastimes. I am glad that you have that to enjoy. Those are things which make life good. One of my things is collecting. I collect Zaphir figurines. Most people would probably find that boring. LOL Juls

Go on e-bay and do a search for Zaphir. There are two listed now. They are porcelain/ceramic figurines made by a company in Spain. The Zaphir company was taken over by another company called Lladro. Many more people are familiar with Lladro then Zaphir. The figurines are extremely similar. However, they are more affordable then the Lladros, although the two pieces on e-bay now are quite expensive. Juls

| To the Australians
I am planning a trip for Christmas 2004 to Australia. It´s a dream of mine, and I´m going with two girlfriends. We will visit Sidney, go to the Ayers rock and visit all the fascinating sites in this magnificent country. I want to see kangoroos and all the animals Australia is famous for, and the mysterious spots. Any tips for unconventional tourists? Quote:

![]() It's not rainy here all of the time, we do have 40+ days throughout Summer... followed by thunderstorms the very same night of course. Hehe, I didn't really sleep well. Lay in bed awake until around 2:30am last night, and was awoken at 8am this morning. My silly body doesn't understand that it's supposed to sleep through the night and not the day. I know it's stupid, but I really am too scared to go to a doctor, especially being unsure about costs, not having a medicare card. Anyway, enough with footy, does anyone follow the cricket? I was watching on TV as Matthew Hayden broke the test runs record. | |

Katey, I can empathize with your fear of Dr.s, and also concerns for cost. But believe me Katey when I say that getting on the proper medication for depression, if that is what's needed, is so much better and safer than self-medicating with drugs. You are in danger of accidentally killing yourself, and are also causing damage to your body. Difficulty sleeping is common amongst people who are suffering from depression. At least try to look into what might be available for you o.k.? As far as cricket goes, I don't know much about it. Is it something you play with a net, like badminton? Juls

Sydney ! OMG! No, seriously , if you plan on going to Ayres rock, are you going on a tour thing , or by yourselves ? Katey , Kath might know more about the cricket , I am sure they played it before they stole our Footy !lol I think Drs visit costs about $50 , but there are some places that bulk bill, oh! sorry , forgot you don't have a Medicare card ! How come ? can you get one ? HUGXX all Lee

I don't have my own card, and can't get one. Doesn't matter. However I can very easily get presciption medicine illegally, but I guess then I don't know if I'm taking the right thing. Are there any doctors you can go to that bulk bill that don't require you to have a medicare card? At all? Juls, I really hope you're kidding about Cricket |

Katey , PLEASE do not self medicate if you have been diagmosed Bi Polar ! It is very dangerous . I think you need a medicare card to go to bulk billing , if you have a joint card with someone else , you can apply for an idividual one , that is not a problem. If all else fails , take yourself to an A&E and explain the symptoms to them, it is VERY important that you get the correct medication! My other suggestion would be , to go to your local community centre and see a health worker there , would be a good starting point , they can point you in the right direction Hope some of this helps , BUT whatever you do, DO not self medicate g/f LUV ya Lee

I have not got Bi Polar, (I don't even know what it is to be honest). What is an A&E? Cricket is nothing like polo, although you do hit a ball with a stick. It's similar to baseball, although instead of having bases you run between two wickets. http://www-aus.cricket.org/link_to_d.../NATIONAL/AUS/ |

I am so sorry Katey , I should have gone back to your very first post before I typed , but still, love , self medicating is very dangerous . A&E is Emergency in any hospital, just front up, and you can see a Doc , and perhaps get a referral. My apologies Katey . Juls : Our health system is partly subsidised by the government , for what we call, " Public health care " We have government issued medicare cards , and when we present them , at a consultation with a doc , we pay " the gap" which is the difference between the " scheduled fee" and the subsidy paid to the doctor by the government . We also have private Health Insurance, which is a personal choice , which can be purchased , and this covers many specialists fees , as well as regular GP consults , also private hospital fees HUGXX Lee

Hi again juls , Quite a few people chose not to pay private cover , but to be honest , the care in the Public System is just as good , you may not get the single room, and the daily visits by your specialist , but you get really good care . medicare cards are issued to everyone , by the government , so everyone has acess to Public health HUGXX Lee

Katey When you take ecstacy it releases serotonin from your brain which is what gives you that wonderful, happy, ecstatic feeling. For those of you that don't know, serotonin is what is released when we feel happy normally. This feeling is increased a lot when ecstacy is taken by chemical means. However, because you have used a chemical to release the serotonin afterwards there is not as much serotonin left to use normally. That is why for days after taking ecstacy you feel down in the dumps, depressed, mood swings and teary. Excessive use can use up lots of your serotonin which takes time to get back to normal levels. The gland in your brain that released the seratonin needs to get used to working normally again without ecstacy. Have you ever considered that your ecstacy use could be the problem not the solution? Just a though. I've been through heavy ecstacy use but I couldn't stand what it was doing to me. Please be careful. Take care, Helen PS. I have copied the following information from a website I found: Ecstasy is a popular recreational drug that has been shown to damage brain serotonin neurons in high doses. Irreversible loss of serotonin neurons can result in the immediate or delayed onset of neuropsychiatric disorders; serotonin imbalance is thought to underlie depression, anxiety, panic disorder, and disorders of impulse control. The effects of moderate ecstasy use on serotonin neurons have not been studied, and gender differences and the long-term effects of ecstasy use on serotonin neurons have not been identified. |

I'm glad to hear your days are going good for you. Seems funny to hear your having summer when we are right into our autumn, and getting ready for christmas. ![]() And Kath I would like to come to Australia some day too. My husband and I were just talking the other day about all the places we would like to go, when his restaurant business gives him the time where we can. And Australia is one of those places where we would really love to go. Australia sounds like a really fasinating place, and with some really lovely people, like all of you. Well have a wonderful evening, lots of ((hugs)) to all of you. Love Bonni

I thought you guys were weird because you all were descendents of a penal colony. LOL Or was that Canada. I would like to come to Australia too. It is so beautiful. I actually have relatives there by marriage. However, I have a fear of traveling. I would like to get over that though so I can go and visit other places in the world. Juls

Helz, I do understand what MDMA does to you, which is why I don't want to rely on it. However the reason I started taking things was because of my depression. But I don't want to make myself any worse. I've been stupid, I had a doctors apointment yesterday and I cancelled it. I know it's stupid but I feel the doctor wont take me seriously, and I feel embarrased to say how I feel to people, including the doctor. I almost feel like they'd say, "you're not crying or anything, so you're lying", or something, and I know it's ridiculous, but I can't help it. |
