| Bi-Polar and Opiate Withdrawal
has anybody ever seen an increase in their bipolar symptoms when going through withdrawal? I'm coming off of oxycodone and morphine extended release. I was on 60mg of morphine er twice a day. I cut that out completely. I was taking 10-12 10/325 oxycodone and cut that down to 4 pills per day. I'm not having thoughts of hurting myself. I have 10 different tabs open on my firefox, and I keep jumping back and forth, can't sit still, racing thoughts, extremely irritable, then I'll be crying, and then I'll be picking fights. Has anybody else ever experienced this? I'm not asking for medical advice just experiences... Thanks in advance! |

Bipolar is very vulnerable to stress and this is some heavy duty stress...physical and mental. I highly recommend seeing your dr so that you don't spin out for longer than necessary.

My psych upped my depakote when she found out I was quitting drinking. (I was lucky she didn't fire me for lying to her about it.) Call your dr.!!! Going into a full blown manic or depressive episode on top of withdrawal is pure hell.
