| anybody on this medication or similar
I'm already on a SSRI anti depressant for situational depression. Last night I had another attack of what I describe as agitation, frustration and restlessness, feeling sick. Similar to withdrawals which drive me to drink. I went to the doctors instead, in the past I would resort to the bottle, so that's progress I suppose. He prescribed Promazine. This describes the drug below Promazine (sold as Sparine) is a medication that belongs to the phenothiazine class of antipsychotics. Anybody relate or understand me. The feelings that in past drink would provide the temporary magic solution that would turn into a 2 week bender from hell often ending up in hospital.

The feelings you describe are quite similar to what I experienced while on Abilify. It made me feel like I needed to crawl out of my skin. Very much like the withdrawls I went through when I came off oxycodone. It was and still is miserable. I am tapering off the Abilify now. I can't wait till it is out of my system. Too bad that I had that side effect as Abilify really was helping me in other ways.

Hello, kurt. I'm having some problems myself but I don't know about that med. Good for you for going to the doctor instead of drinking. Hang in there and keep us updated.

I didn't like the effects of gabapentin. I only toook about three and called the doc and said "no WAY am I eating this." This is for fibro, though and not anxiety. so she changed it over to (can't spell it) amitrypliline (?) the only way I can remember this one is because it sounds like that stuff in turkey that makes ya sleep! it could BE the stuff for all I know. but - aren't the symptoms you're describing, the 'call your doctor if you experience any of the following' list?
