I don't know sweetie, I'm an addict not an alcoholic, but it could well be I guess. I'm posting because paranoia is a symptom of my depression so I know what you are going through and how horrible it is. From what I've read on here and elsewhere paranoia is definitely a part of alcohol withdrawal, and depression. I would also recommend finding a therapist to talk to about your paranoia and share in AA, LifeRing or SMARTRecovery meetings. Also you should post over on the alcoholism board about how to deal with alcohol withdrawal paranoia as many others have dealt with it too.

hileft - it can be. harsh anxiety, unable to sleep ... I remember that flat out paranoia haunted me every morning when I was drinking. It took getting sober to learn that's a part of the alcohol/drug cycle and that many others even Dr. Bob suffered the effects.
