| a poem about self harm
I found an old poem I wrote about self harm and I thought hmm it is a good way of explaining self harm. now I have not harmed my self in a year. It get’s me so high So I do a line, I take my time As I watch the blood surface I feel loved I know it’s not right I do have better insight I aint hurtin no body I am hurting inside So what’s the difference Now pains on the outside No one will ever know No one get’s that close What have I done? Why do I wanna do it again? Tie me down Give me my crown Claw me till my skin bleeds No baby you aint hurtin me |

That was very intense, Mishel! Great work! Just so you know, there is a poetry forum here too! You might want to repost this there so everyone can appreciate your work. There's a lot of great poetry and sayings there too if you're interested. Here's the link: Inspirations, Thoughts, Poems, & Sayings - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information Again, great job!

Congrats on a year without self-harm. I have 7 months since I last cut. If anyone reading does self-injure, please go read the Self Injury sticky at the top of the Mental Health page. There are other ways to achieve that endorphin rush.
