I got fired from my job today for being late one too many times. It wasn't even a difficult or demanding job. I'm just having a hard time forgiving myself and letting go of my resentment toward myself, no less feeling I can believe in myself again. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do? I just feel so down on myself, that I don't deserve happiness or another job.

Accept that you screwed up. Learn from it and move on. You don't have to let this stop you from moving forward.

I learn from my mistakes Clay, it inspires me to do the next right thing and keep my side of the street clean. The past is the past, I can't change it, but I can change my behavior in the future.

Hi Clay, I was fired from a job a few years ago for pretty much the same issue. I hated the job and I hated myself. I was also depressed and have just recently began to do something about that. I would say think about what you can do different in the future which is something that you do have control over. Whats happened has happened. Look forward.
