For many years my anxiety and depression is the worst during the summer. I thought it was just me until I looked it up and found that it's very common.
Does anyone else have this?

No, I just have regular SAD. I do know this does happen with people, however. I would think the medication for it would be the same for those with fall/winter SAD?

LiDita, Summer S.A.D is different from the winter S.A.D. and should be treated differently.
Just like the differences between Bi-Polar and Bi-Polar II.

I lived in NY for 10 years. Now I know why they all have a bad rap all over the country! It's the fact there's hardly any sunshine!! I moved to SC and wow, I feel better. I love sunshine.
However, it can be oppressive in the summer. This is actually depressing in a way, to me.

I'm not aware I suffer from any SAD myself, but living in Northern Australia it makes a lot of sense - thanks

My depression is considerably worse during the long Canadian winters. I take medication year-round, but during the winter, I occasionally use light-box therapy. It seems to help.
