| My Weekend
Saturday after work we went to the county fair, my husband, myself, our six year old daughter and my 26 year old son. We were there from 5pm until 10:30. We had such a great time with our little girl. I love that my son who lives on his own, enjoys doing these family things with us and his little sister. He takes her on the rides and carries her around on his shoulders. She loves going on rides, the faster the better. As we were walking around I was thinking how grateful I am not to be all whacked out on drugs, because if I was I wouldn't be able to enjoy doing these things. Juls

Hi Juls, Sounds like a great weekend. I am happy that you are able to enjoy time with your family. You have worked very hard for it. It is great that we work at recovery, it is even greater that we can take time to enjoy our recovery. I love hearing positive stories like that. I think it is important to us all to have positive postings to read. Hang in there. Don W P.S. I'm sure your family also enjoys the drug free Juls also

Don, Thanks for stopping by. It's good to hear from you, how are you doing? Yes my family, especially my husband, enjoys the drug fee me. I am such a better mom too. Although I don't think I ever neglected my daughter, I definitely wasn't there for her in certain ways because of the drugs. I couldn't acknowledge that when I was using, but I certainly can see it now that I am clean and can feel the difference. I never thought I would get to where I am now, and it's funny because I didn't really even notice it happening. I feel so good most of the time, and the things that were problems before don't affect me the same anymore. When I was trapped in my using I just could not see beyond that next dose. Life is truly incredible for me today. Juls
