Way to go, Lilyo!

Way to go Lilya!

What a winning weekend! I am grateful that my children are alive and well, and my mother. My son Sam, did I tell you? won his first football game of the season? Ben's soccer is a little later with a game. I am discovering it is fun to kick that soccer ball around with Ben. I spent a good many happy hours having supper and coffee with my mom and a cousin of my Daddy's who lives here and is good friends with my Mom. I used to work with her and Daddy. She is a senior citizen, like Mom. I am so grateful for their company Saturday night. Warm fuzzies!

Love,
Nancy

I am happy to hear that, Nancy. Isn´t family the best?

I had my niece with me the whole weekend and we went swimming and had a lot of fun. Then I finished the first half of my new book for the editor and am handing in the script tomorrow.

Yes, I am grateful for my life. And thank you all for being there!

Lilya,

Big congratulations on your 17 year chip. I am so sorry to hear about the people there. I didn't know it was till that bad.

Also, I really enjoy hearing about all the fun things you do with your travel, your work and your family. It inspires me to want to get out there and do things.

Tammie, my daughter will be 7 this year, but she was also a premie and started life on a slim branch, so I am also very grateful to have her. She really is a joy.

Nancy, did you mention on another thread that your son just left home? Did he get his apt, or move in with friends?

My son is 26 and moved out on his own 2 years ago. Some people thought that was late, but I didn't mind at all. He was working and paying rent and contributing to the household. I don't think that a young person should be having to move away from home the minute they turn 18, unless they want to. I enjoyed having him around for those extra years.

I am so grateful for my new home and the lifestyle it is affording me. It is what I have wanted all my life, and I feel so blessed right now. Everything is so simple and convenient for me. The neighborhood is like living in a small town (without small town prejudices) in the middle of a big city, with many good cultural things available. People are friendly, I work around the corner from where I live, it is a quiet street, and I have a dishwasher for the first time in my life. LOL Also there is a great refrigerator that gives me cubed ice, AND crushed ice, and water. It amazes me every day when I want cold water and ice. Before I just had a regular fridge, where I was always having to make sure the ice trays were filled, and then struggling to get the ice out when I wanted cold drinks. It's incredible how some tiny little thing like that can really make my day.

Wow,

I haven't posted here for awhile. I am very grateful for my life right now. Things are so simple. That is the one thing I have always longed for in my life, simplicity.

I am so very grateful to be alive today. I just can't get over the ability to say that...and mean it!! I am so blessed to finally be able to be at peace no matter the storms around me.

I am like you Juls..I love simplicity!! Something I am learning is that I have that..when I stay in the spiritual solution. I love the quote by the Tibetan monks that says, "In my world nothing ever changes" The day I read that quote, about 3-4 years ago I determined in my heart to find a way to live that way..and I think I have found it..and I am grateful.

(((tammie)))
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, that was beautiful, and so inspirational.
I feel at peace now too, since I quit drinking and have my depression under control. Life is so much more peaceful, like you say. To keep it simple and take one day at a time is the only way.
Love, Bonni
