| Welcome to SR and our mental health forum! ![]() I personally have very limited experience with pot. Drinking was my thing. Hopefully someone will be along shortly who can share their experience with you. You might also try posting this in the substance abuse forum as there would be many people there who could help you.

Hi Sulo! Welcome. It's been a long while since I smoked, but I had panic attacks after smoking weed a couple times over the course of several years. They never lasted more than 2 or so hours. My heart raced, I vomited, and was overwhelmed with complete terror... *shudder* A friend of mine stopped smoking completely because she had panic attacks afterwards. A week of no sleep and racing heart... That sounds a little different. Does anyone in your family have bipolar disorder that you know of? Do you have any preexisting conditions like bipolar? A week is pretty extreme. If I were you I'd want to get checked out by a doc. Oh, and I'd stay away from weed! Whatever the problem is, it sounds pretty clear like marijuana is not your friend. |
