Meditation to help depression

I hope I am ok to post this here, this article is about the benefits of meditation to help depression.

There is a tendancy to talk from the bhuddist view (it is written by a meditation master), but I believe that the content of the article could be beneficial anyone who is suffering depression irrespective of their spiritual beliefs, which is why I would like to post it.

I am in no way trying to force my beliefs on anyone by posting this, just merely providing a different view on how depression can be helped, aleviated and perhaps cured.

Much love

Thanks for that, it was a very interesting article. I try to meditate once every day. In my bleakest times, it has given me 20 minutes of respite from the crazy world. I am a firm believer in the benefits to be gained from meditation.
When depressed, we spend so much time breathing wrongly, tensing our muscles, letting our heads become busy with worries and cares. Meditation helps to combat the negative effects of all of this.
Meditation does not have to be complicated. Even two minutes of a calm uncluttered mind will have benefits.
Thanks again.
Hippy
