Exclamation chronic anger

Hi I am someone who has battled with feelings of intense chronic anger when sobering up. Feel really angry for no reason even if things are great. Was wondering has any other recovering alcoholics experienced this chronic anger, how did you overcome it if ever does anyone know what causes it and will it subside. Due to my chronic anger I have relapsed several times because alcohol was like pouring water over the flames.

Welcome to SR and our mental health forum!
You are not alone with having anger issues come up during early sobriety. I know I sure had them. What worked for me was forging ahead with the steps, working with a sponsor, and finding a constructive outlet for my anger. The outlet that worked for me was boxing. I bought a boxing figure that has lights that light up on different parts of its body that you are supposed to hit when they light up. The pace can be adjusted for quite the workout. With the boxing gloves on I was able to hit it as hard as I wanted. By the time I was done I was too tired to be angry any more. I actually had someone I was living with at the time tell me they were afraid of me because of the way I hit the thing. But it worked well for me. Exercise is a great tool for getting the frustrations out.
