it just seems a little deserted around here the past couple days. Is it possibly that many, if not most of us, tend to get more depressed and things during season changes?

Yes, I firmly believe that the change in seasons especially going from summer to fall because of the light change really affects the mood. I know that taking a Vit D supplement helps me during this time. I haven't been around because I have had to write two papers for school.....unfortunately I procrastinated until the last minute.

Of course seasonal change effects many people. We get less light in the fall and winter months in the Northern Hemisphere. Light is very necessary for human brain function. Things are really getting strange for everyone right now. The economy is hurting a lot of people people are worried. I would not doubt that some have lost their internet connection.

Thanks everyone. i started taking a multi-vitamin about 2 weeks, mainly for the vit. D. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is known as a disorder that specifically affects people's moods and things depending on the season. Some are affected more than others. My current theory is that it's not a seperated disorder, but rather just another symptom of bipolar II (probably bipolar I also, but i haven't studied it as much). I think that at the very least...that most people who are diagnosed with SAD are also bipolar II. It's easier to recognize that BPII....AND I think people are more willing to accept that diagnosis than bipolar disorder. Either way though....it all sucks.
