| same planet...different world | "Critical Condition" to air on PBS this week
hi, y'all! Just thought I'd make an announcement about this show I've been seeing talked about on PBS ... about the condition of health care in the US. I am not sure what they're going to do , but the trailers were about people losing their savings, their homes, etc.... or deciding to go ahead and let their conditions kill them, I suppose. But PBS is usually really GOOD about listing resources, so I thought y'all might want to catch it when it hits locally. Since it's a topic that's kinda affecting all of us and all that.

wow. I"m pretty sure this program won't do ANYONE any good mentally... sheesh. That was one depresing show. holy ... dookie. But it wasn't about mental health - it was more about critical care... and the nonexistance thereof for anyone but the wealthy. yeeks.

Getting even minor, basic care without insurance is a nightmare. It took me almost a month to find and see a psychiatrist. I still haven't been able to get to a regular doctor. My heart goes out to people with, you know, serious problems. I really need to stop complaining so much. |

actually....there's quite a bit about the big bailout that will the affect the health care industry. I'm pretty certain it would get a LOT worse for us if the gov wasn't working on the bail out package....(which does include concerns about the rising costs of health care)... b/c wall street affects ALL of us. Even much more than i could ever comprehend.
