If your a freak, then I'm a freak too. I don't think we are freaks, just people who need to learn better ways to cope with their feelings, thoughts, problems and frustrations. It's been almost three years since I have cut myself which is amazing for me. My best advice is go against your best thinking and let them help you. It could be the best thing you have ever done. Hang in there..

Hey MX, I put myself in the VA for an attempted suicide. While in a locked ward I was with guys who where just like me, came from where I did, drank and drugged like I used to. I felt a bond like I did with guy's I rode with and in the service with. I started asking around if anyone would like to go to a A.A.meeting since I knew they had them in the hospital. I got permission, and with a guard of course took a few to their first A.A. meeting. Now this was the very first time I tried to help someone else beside myself and give away what I had received. I had heard that G-d helps those who help others. I had my personal Spiritual awakening, by helping others I received my reward a reason to live. |

| mxchaos, As one of our more infamous sayings goes: This too shall pass. I think just about every person who is able to read your thread has been where you are at one time or another. I know I sure have. Take full advantage of working on the issues that are bothering you. If you want to have a laugh with the tech, sing the song Me and My Shadow. "Me and my shadow, wherever I go, he always goes, it's me and my shadow . . . " Hang in there Buddy, I'm sure this won't be much longer. Hugs and Prayers, Judy
