that I'm just a big fat stupid autistic retard is the awakening I'm having. I can barely handle anything, and it's like my video game console the Wii recently broke and it's like that was one of my lifelines, pitiful life... a mere game breaks and I get sad. I'm so pitiful.

Oh, Paulos, I'm so sorry you're feeling like that. My granddaughter is autistic and the job I love is with autistic kids and they both give so much ..joy. From what I've read about autism, we're all on the spectrum..I'd better just speak for myself here lol I hope you'll feel better about yourself soon, remember 'feelings pass.' ps: I'd be really sad if my computer broke.

Well, Paulos, I don't know if you're big or fat, cuz I've never seen you. I know you're autistic, cuz you've shared that with us. But, you're a high functioning autistic person, so, there's lots for you to accomplish and do in your life, should you choose. And, you are *definately* not retarded. My cousin's daughter is retarded -- a Down's Syndrome child. And she is a delight!  But, all of those things are just adjectives. They are not the person that *you* are. What do you plan to do with your life? And what are you doing to achieve that plan? These are the things that matter, Paulos, These and how you behave towards others...even when no one is looking.  I've seen you reach out to others here, when they are in need. I know you have a beautiful soul. And I'm grateful that you're a member of SR, and that I've been able to begin to get to know you. (((((paulos)))) Lots of awakenings are rude. It doesn't really matter if you are autistic or not even people who are considered normal have rude awakenings. You hang in there and know that you are loved....
