| Is there anyone... I was just wondering if anyone here is on Social Security Disability for your depression, Bipolar, or any other ailment/illness/injury AND suffer from any sort of addiction? I am and was just curious if anyone else was. Also, does Social Security know about your past/present addiction? Have a great day!

i'm not on SSI (but have had it suggested to me quite a few times). I just wanted to say that since studies show that about 85% of bipolars have substance addiction issues....i'd bet the SSI peeps probably have lots of peeps that fall under both catagories.

I applied for SSD and SSI four months ago and, of course, haven't gotten a decision yet. But it was for mental illness and physical limitations. They seem to know everything about me! INcluding time in rehab!
