butterflylover Beautifully Awkward Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Far from where I want to be, The South Posts: 323	Is there anyone... I was just wondering if anyone here is on Social Security Disability for your depression, Bipolar, or any other ailment/illness/injury AND suffer from any sort of addiction? I am and was just curious if anyone else was. Also, does Social Security know about your past/present addiction? Have a great day! __________________

I just wanted to say that since studies show that about 85% of bipolars have substance addiction issues....i'd bet the SSI peeps probably have lots of peeps that fall under both catagories. __________________ I'M FINE!! least recovering Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: eastern USA Posts: 9,940 Blog Entries: 13	I applied for SSD and SSI four months ago and, of course, haven't gotten a decision yet. But it was for mental illness and physical limitations. They seem to know everything about me! INcluding time in rehab! __________________ I'd rather live in my van with my dogs than live in a mansion without them. Dogs may not be our whole lives, but they make our lives whole. Plus que je connais les hommes, plus j'aime mon chien. (The more I know mankind, the more I love my dog)
