| Self Medicating...
So... my mood was at an all-time low (or at least pretty low compared to how I've been feeling lately) today, and I'm noticing a pattern with myself. I was feeling kinda low last week, and felt better by the weekend because I got up and spent time with my friends and my husband... then I was fine, until Thursday rolled around. For some reason, Thursday at dinner, I decided to have a couple of beers. Don't know why, it just sounded like a good idea. Then Friday, one of my girlfriends wanted to drink, and I went for it. Then, Saturday, we had friends over at our house, and of course, what did I end up doing??? You guessed it folks... DRINKING!!! Let's get one thing straight... and that's that I am not an alcoholic. While alcoholism does run in my family (and thus, addiction, me with food and my sister with heroin), I seldom drink more than once every few months. Then again, I think it makes perfect sense that the reason my mood is so haywire tonight is because I drank so much this weekend... apparently I was self medicating and didn't even realize it. I've really gotta do better! ![]() Anyone else out there realized after the fact that they were self medicating, with whatever substance (legal or otherwise)?

I've never looked at it in terms like you put it, but, it certainly makes lots of sense! ![]() I'll have to keep an eye out for that type of behavior, now that you've brought it to my attention. ![]() Shalom!
