Happy Birthday, Hippy!!!

It is so nice to have received all these birthday wishes. Indicative of what a lovely bunch of people I have come into contact with through this site.

For my dinner.....I am trying to remember...it was a week ago! LOL! I had steak which was ok but overdone! We went to a new place that has opened up near us so that we could walk home. It was basic tradtional pub fayre. Anyway, it was all new and of course all the staff were new too and eager to impress by being efficient at their jobs. So.....there I was taking a breather from eating, my knife and fork on my plate, in an open position, so it was known that I wasn't finshed (as sticky British ettiquette dictates!) and the girl came up and removed my plate! My hubby and I just laughed, there wasn't a lot left on my plate! However, to add insult to injury, I had my glass of wine that I had been savouring, as I was only allowing myself that, with a noticeable bit left in the glass.....she came up and took it away!!!!!! I didn't say anything (being very British again!) but was very miffed! I felt cheated out of the ending to my meal! Again hubby and I just laughed it off but we won't be going back!
