| Update on son I tried to post this a couple of days ago and something happened.....whatever. Everyone here has been so helpful and so supportive and I wanted to give an update. My son's psychotic break started just before Christmas. Now 4 months out, he's almost entirely back. He had to withdraw from school. But we knew that and he's stayed in just so he could go to the occassional class and visit with friends when he was feeling well enough. The Dean of students hand carried his readdmission application to whoever it is that handles that. Best part is my son handled all of the details for himself. We finally got a pdoc who will give some life advice as well as scripts and he advised against summer school. So with 4 months and nothing planned my son went out and got a job. It's just fast food, but it's giving him a schedule and some confidence. And he did it without any help or proding. And the best part.....he smiles again. Me? I continue to see my therapist and personal trainer. And I got a job too. I haven't worked in quite a while but this just dropped into my lap. It's in the mental health field so I will be out there meeting everyone in the area involved in mental health and I'll be learning everything I can. My husband? He's still pretending nothing is happening. |

That's great to hear! It is nice that he is being pro-active with things and doing better.
