I'm still around. Got sucked into the vortex of my son't addiction the last few weeks. It came to a head today when he was suppose to leave for rehab. Instead, he bolted after stringing me along with lies and deception. I will collect my thoughts and post my updated story soon. He tried for awhile and then his demons overpowered him, Then all the old selfish ways to use people reappeared. It was not pretty. I am powerless. I will Let Go. That's my story. I am low today. Tomorrow I will start my recovery anew. My life without him. But I am here warts and all. |

oh, wow, {{{{SS}}}}... man. the very hardest thing a parent can do is let a child go. I had to. I hardly fear anything happening because of it, also. Nothing - is gonna hurt like that.

My heart goes out to you SS. I have three sons too. If only they realized how what they do affects you and how people see you. I remember my mom saying they aways blame the mother. I laughed at her saying it's not like that anymore. Well I'm not laughing now. One of my sons was convicted of my very worst nightmare and the one thing I swore my sons would never do. I have suffered going on 6 years and still suffer for it even though he was technically an adult and I had nothing to do with it and had no way to know about it or avert it. A big, hugemungous part of what started my binging. We are only mothers who want the best for our children, that thing called unconditional love. Even when that means tough love. We still love them Please post your update for us. |
