Celexa and codeine

I picked up celexa(citalopram) from my doc today. On the instrutions it said do not take with codeine. I am on t3"s. anyone heard of this. The phamisist said there was no conflict but the handout he gave me says there is. Again, Not medical advice but opinions.

The pharmacist is the expert when it comes to meds interaction. The doc only has limited education in that area; it's the pharmacist who has studied it in debth. Trust the pharmacist. Question him/her more if you will feel better about it -- ie, "why does the package say not to mix, and you say it's ok?" They will not be offended; it is their area of expertise.

Shalom!

Glad to hear that you followed through with asking the pharmicist -- or three!
Don't you feel better, knowing?

Shalom!
