Been in a funk lately. No drive or ambition. Just muddling along thru each day. Getting older and being tired does not agree with me. I want to be young again!!

I'm going through a stretch where I keep questioning, whats the use? You get up, you go to work, you go home, you eat, you pay bills, you go to bed and the whole thing starts again the next day.

Intellectually, I know things like gratitude, doing for others, hobbies, are great ways to get out of oneselves mind, but I feel like I am just going thru the motions right now.

This will pass, I am sure.

Anyways Jenna, thanks for asking, it is nice to be noticed when you are not noticed!!

Mike, i hate the funk that seems to be going around this month. Seems like no one is safe from it. If i didn't have to go to work, i'd be spending my days sleeping and watching t.v. and eating. Yes....i crave lots of sugar when i'm in "the funk."

Okay, i'm being super silly now.

Thanks for letting us know how things are going. I think Tena might be right about a possible med change or dosage change. What you're describing to me is the level of depression right above the level where I consider the depression to start getting dangerous to my health. For myself, i know I dip into that lower level way to easy from here so as soon as i can finally get my insurance straightened out i'm going in for a med change myself (even though i dread it).

I've also noticed that right now, since i'm basically staying every other night at my new place....that my depression greatly improves on the days when i've used my sleep apnea machine the night before. it's too difficult to take it back and forth so i just leave it here at the new place. But on the nights spent at the old place, even though i sleep....i don't get any quality sleep and therefore my body and brain functions as though i didn't really sleep at all.

So...i guess i'm saying: How has your sleep been lately??

Oh, and i like the sig! It's inspiring me to want to make myself one too!!

Don't laugh...but there is a book in every mall bookstore that caused quite a controversy....But go find it...it is called Rules 101 or something similar in the relationships section. Feminists hate it. But I think it has way too much truth in it.

Thank you for asking. Like shutterbug says I am about one level above the start of a more serious depression. Got some exercise today via a 5 mile canoe ride. Thats a lot of paddling I might add.

I've been in a bit of a funk too this past week. But, the last two days, I worked my petutie off in the yard -- weeding, planting, mulching, trimming, trimming, burning. OMG, every bone in my body hurts! LOL!
I slept really good last night, and I bet I do so again tonight.

I haven't made it to the gym, though. But, I certainly have used muscles I haven't used in a VERY long time!

But, I like to go swimming. There's a beach down the street from me, but, I've not been in the ocean yet this year. I've really been enjoying the pool at the gym, though. Oh, well, I'm mumbling....what else is new, lol!

Mike, I'm glad you're with us. Don't keep us waiting for an update, ok? :>)
