Alcoholic

Hi guys!

I am a 53yo about-to-be-grandfather that drinks too much.
About 1/2bottle of vodka per day. I feel **** in the morning
and cannot function before a few shots. Tried to give it up
but no go. Very busy in my work, cannot go to rehab.
ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT!

Hey, welcome Reon.
In my case, I couldn't even get close to quitting drinking like a maniac until I started talking about it with people that had sobered up.
Seems to be what you're trying to do.
So how'd you try to quit before?

Hi Reon, and welcome.

Might you have access to outpatient treatment? That would help a bunch.

And I've sent you a PM too BTW.

Outpatient seems to be the answer if avalable.Worked for me.Take it 1 day at a time. Most important find a meeting and talk to someone.Be honest and listen.I am 53,a grandfather and sober for almost 3 years. You can do this, have faith in GOD and yourself. There,s no better time than the present.Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.Always willing to help any way I can.

The answer is in GOD and me
