Who's got a car or bike in winter storage?

I have a car, she doesn't play in the snow. Lately we've been getting the "teaser" weather here. 40-50 degrees, dry and sunny, and I have the itch.

The itch to break out the 'Bird and drive it like I stole it! Would it kill me to get some snow on it? No, not at all. But its only been in one winter in its life time. Its got the paint job and zero rust to prove it.

Actually, the snow doesn't bother me, its the salt that gets used on the snow. Thats kinda scary.

I'll just keep waiting........................................... .....................

Nothing in storage for me this year.
But I remember the days when I'd go in the garage and pet my old Kawi.
I'd talk to it, letting him know that the snow was finally starting to melt...

storage for me means pointed toward the door with some Stabil in the fuel tank and a cover over it. A trip to the barn with the booster for the neglected battery and a tire pressure gauge just for good measure..

15 minutes and I am good to go. Takes me longer to lug the leathers up there.

Gooch, I have a battery warmer for mine. Its very small, looks like a charger, plugs into the wall, and it stays connected all the time. Keep the battery topped and charges as needed. Thats whats it made for. My neighbor keeps one on his boat battery.

Mine has a two position selector switch. Cars, and Motorcylces. Mine was about $25 at one of those Auto Parts Superstores.

Just a thought...

Bike that is pointing to the street as soon as I get a bill or 3 paid.
Salt and sand being out there...a rinse will take car of the salt. I have a steam cleaner. The sand is a danger if not careful.
