I was give the following quote at one time and now have a bird feeder with a very similar quote upon it -

"Most any man can father a child, but it takes someone special to become a Dad!"

In God's eyes we are all special. I thank God for putting some very special men of AA into my life to teach me how to become the Dad I always wanted to be. They taught me how to pray for my son's Mom(among many other things) and eventually I came to honestly Love Her. Their loving approach to me was not the usual mollycoddled approach either.

Today, I know what love thy neighbor as thy self really means. I even love My Ex's newest practicing alcoholic husband.
