| Anyone watch "breaking bad"
Was afraid to try the show due to content however it was on netflix and my wife and I are almost done with the third season, highly addicting and even has some references to 12 step program.... I highly recommend it if your comfortable in your sobriety..

Breaking Bad beat out Deadwood for me as the second best show ever made, with The Wire being, of course, number 1. Topspin you're so right, the cinematography is stellar, and a big part of why the show rawks as much as it does. This will be the last season coming up, which sucks, but then again it might be best to resolve the story and not try and drag it out just for paychecks. I'll miss it when it's done. I love Jessie's character ark over the years, also the ways in which Walt has been broken down from good guy to bad ... it's just plain epic. Just love this show. Bit of trivia, Jessie's character was supposed to be killed off early in the first season, but the actor did such a good job they wrote him in as an integral character. I can't imagine the show without Pinkman. FYI, here's a hilarious website from Saul, fans will get a serious kick out of it... Better Call Saul

Great show, but at the same time it's often too much for me... The only times I can watch it is if I am in a GOOD mood, otherwise it's really triggering. Is it just me or does anyone else hate Skylar?? @Tipping Point - Weeds was good for the first two seasons, now I think it just sucks. Nevertheless, I still watch. Haha. Nancy is so outrageously dumb it's ridiculous. Yet I keep watching for some reason... I'd say Breaking Bad is my third favorite show of all time. Still far far behind Dexter (favorite show ever). I would also have to say I loved Prison Break a lot more, but breaking bad is still up there!

| I hear ya for sure JFD. Deadwood has been my #1 for eons. There's 2 specific reasons it's been bounced from my top spot. 1. The Wire, and 2. I watched it front to back at least half a dozen times and became a little desensitized to it's genius. Deadwood's dialogue, screenplay, and acting though... whew man, that stuff was modern day Shakespeare. Pretty sure I can still quote every piece of Swerengen's dialogue to this day lol. @speedyjason - yep, Skylar is entirely a pain in the butt. Last go around they seem to have had her "breaking bad" a bit, at least she got to see the grey area and stopped whinging so much about the black and white of things. Still though, how she comes to her own conclusions as the wife of a meth dealer, well let's just say she leaves a lot to be desired and is frustrating as hell. Well written character though, since you could honestly expect most normal folks to react in a similar way. @Darkdays, DEFINITELY watch The Wire. Front to back. Do a NetFlix marathon, like I did. You will be blown away by that show. It's the most highly critically acclaimed show ever produced, and with really REALLY good reason. One of my all time favorite TV critics Charlie Brooker actually did a 1 hour special on BBC just to explain why it is the best show ever made, and why every Brit alive should watch it. I think that's up on youtube. (EDIT: I've added part 1 of that BBC special at the bottom of the post.) The Wire was so well written and performed, so visceral and true to the realities of that side of life, sometimes it was eerily authentic. Just sheer brilliance. Not many shows can compare IMO, Deadwood, Breaking Bad, Rome, and maybe The Sopranos are in the same league, but The Wire is kinda a class by itself. @gr8fl2aa - we have to wait a little while for the latest season of Breaking Bad. I think it started filming again at the start of 2012, so my guess is we won't see it until around September - if not later.

| Trust me amigo, set aside a weekend, grab up every season, and start from jump/episode 1. You will thank me later, I'll guarantee it . When we first got The Wire I was expecting to watch 1, maybe 2 episodes and have a series on my DVR to catch up on for the rest of the year. HA! The wife and I ended up cancelling all our weekend plans, breaking out a chips and salsa extravaganza, and we literally went through the entire series in about 3 days. I've watched it 2 times front to back since. So many thing to say about every aspect of that show. It would take a thesis just to try and explain how many levels of awesome The Wire is. BTW, not so sure that Charlie Brooker special was on BBC or Channel 4, but either way it's a pretty self evident testimonial for why you should watch the show.
