| Gangland?
Just saw this show on the history channel the other night, I believe its on thursday nights at 10pm eastern time. Its an hour long show that depicts current gangs in the USA (not just generic ones like the crips latin kings and bloods.) Anywho, the reason it caught my attention was because the other night they had a gang from Lake Worth Florida (about 5 minutes away from my town). Called the Top 6 and I found out through watching the entire show that a killing that happened at a boynton beach mall happened because of this gang. Anybody else watch this show? I was real interested in it mostly because it was about a local gang from where I now live but I feel I will still be watching it each week now. It has interviews during the show with former members, interviews with police detectives, info on the origin of the gang, what their logo means etc etc. so again , anybody else share my like of this show gangland???

I watch this show from time to time I lost my 15 year old son in 2004 in a drive by shooting due to gang violence he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The person the were trying to kill got one in the sholder and arm my son wast an innocet bystander hit by a stray bullet he was a good kid he liked to fish and still watched cartoons. GANG VIOLENCE NOBOBY WINS.

This thread is originally from 2009...don't know if anybody noticed that, but nevertheless, I've seen it a couple times. It's interesting. I always thought the most interesting part was the interviews where the lighting is dark so you can't see the guys face or anything. I always wonder if that's because they're afraid other gang members will come kill them if they find out they're on the show. For people who read (I seldom do, but I like this book so I'll mention it)... The autobiography of Sanyika Shakur is a good one. He was an L.A. gang member (can't remember if he was a crip or a blood) and wrote about some experiences of his in the gang. Very interesting if you like to learn about the culture. It's called "Monster" if anyone is interested.
