The "prayer urinal"

Okay, so I'm a bit odd. I've reached 136 days, and noticed an unusual behavior. My first prayer in the morning is usually while urinating. I've been sleeping so much better, that my first urge on waking is to head to the b-room. As the sleep falls from my eyes (and something else from somewhere else), I remember to thank God for my sobriety and the day ahead.

Am I the only one?

Red face

I doubt youre that unique I have several male friends that practice different things of prayer along those lines just alot of us dont speak of em maybe because we are embarrassed to say exactly how we do these but I have one friend friend that kneels in His shower every morning while doing His shower

An old sponsor of mine gets on his knees naked in bedroom in prayer because he said he figures God created Him and saw him naked then and God still sees buit this way he says he is showing God he is not ashamed to be naked before him and praying... he says it helps keep him honest when youre naked youre not gonna hide anything....what do I do well ... I can be doing anyone of these except kneeling my body doesnt handle it well since my legs are wrapped I have a disability...but Ive been naked been clothed and been riding in a taxi or a bus or driving in these last few I was clothed I think all that matters is where we focus not focussed on whether we are urinating or not :-)

Thanks JD. I guess that it's the thought that counts.

Oh, and it's far better praying while urinating than back in the drinking days of "praying at the porcelain altar"!!

As for the "God gave me this body" thing, that's my approach to singing at Mass. God gave me this voice, so I'm going to give it back to him!

I'm not a spiritual guru Nick, and I'm not an expert on prayer and religion, but something tells me that God doesn't care when or where you pray, only that you're making the effort.

There's a gentleman from my homegroup, a chaplain, he weighs about 350lbs and looks like Santa Claus. He prays in the shower every morning. Now there's a visual for ya!

If you really want opinions, post this in the Christian forum, I don't think they'll have any objection to praying while you pee either
