Awkward Uncomfortable Question.

When the hell will i get my sex drive back? i feel likes it's gone on a permanent vacation! I know there are more important things to worry about in early recovery, but.....

Well, again, this is just me, but after about 4 or 5 days, I didn't have much of a drive at all, but once things got started, it was all over pretty quick. I'm at day 9 and the drive is back (not all the time or anything, but when properly motivated -- I've got a GREAT wife) but damn if I can't last more than 10 seconds. [insert very red-faced emoticon here].

Hang in there, my man. You're doing great.

Well it depends on what you were doing... In my case after Meth & Opium and more Evil Potpourri... It was months...

Uh, ladies, you're not supposed to be peeking and posting in the Men's Room. Take it from a guy who's been reprimanded for being in the Women In Recovery forum once or twice

Scott, please take your time and stay focused on your recovery. While my drive came back fairly quickly, my ability to use it sensibly took some time. Even after two years it caused a wide range of emotions to come crashing back. Emotional sobriety, mental sobriety, and physical sobriety all require plenty of work. All I can suggest is to not be in a hurry, your Higher Power will lead you to the right times and circumstances.

Don't worry at all. The body, the brain, the unit all get back to normal.

Give it a little time, Scott. You'll start thinking with your small head real soon.

I'm 32 days off binge drinking and I'm having mental issues that impact the physical. Wife unloading on me about years and years of issues. Maybe she thinks AHAH he's awake now so I get to bitch and he'll remember it now cause he's sober.

Guess I deserve a bunch of that. But not ALL of it.

Yes, Time2Surrender, I'm over here venting about this here too, but it's the guys room, right?

I have this problem which started after I started using narcotics. I ask my doc to check my testosterone level. It came back low. It is a common problem associated with narcotic use. He put me on a supliment called Androgel, a solution that is rubbed on after a bath. Do not rub it on sensative skin as the alcohol base will light you up. Anyway, problem solved.
