Go Fast!!!

How many people out there are like me and think that once you get onto the interstate, there should be NO speed limit?
I personally feel (even on local highways) if I'm not going at least 80mph, I feel like I'm standing still. This is not an issue of getting to "work" on time or anything. I always leave early and can get to where I need to get to in time (even if I drive under the speed limit). For some reason I just feel "unproductive"....for lack of a better word, if I don't go fast enough. I personally think that on highways and interstates that there should be no speed limit whatsoever. I think that would make life a lot more interesting. If there were no speed limits on highways or interstates....I would never leave the road. It would be too much fun.
Maybe there should be a special interstate for people like me...that would be sweet. The govt. could have us sign a waiver and give us all a special license to be able to drive on this "special road". I would pay money for something like that. I would consider that a subscription to be able to go fast. Thats fine by me any day...and I'm sure other high performance vehicle owners would feel the same way.
We need the American equivalent of the Autobahn.
Thats just me thinking out loud though.
What do you guys think?

I drive like an old man. I do spend a lot of time at the Dragstrip though. There's no speed limit there.

I've spent my share of time in Germany driving on the Auto Bahn. I hate to say it. Most Americans dont know how to drive good enough to handle something like that. It would be a disaster over here in the States.

Does the state of Montana unoffically still let you drive as fast as you want on isolated Interstates? I remember a couple friends of mine telling me about that when they did a tour of the country around 10 years ago.

No, that didnt workout the way they hoped it would. It only lasted a couple years and then they brought the speed limit back.

speed (mph) is my other drug of choice. Speed equals adrenalin but discretion keeps me from being overly agressive in traffic. But on the open highway driving with zest actually keeps me alert, driving the speed limit puts me to sleep like most people that are on the road. If i really want to let loose i save it for my dirt bike.
