| A funny ATV question.
When my son gets older I would love to get us some ATV's. His mother doesent agree. How to you convince her??? I see alot of ATV talk in here. I have ridden them a few times, and have had a blast. My soon to be brother in law has two of them and it's only a matter of time that my son will think they are cool. Yes I know that this is a silly question. His grandmother rides horses, and wants to get him in the saddle one day. She is also uncomfortable with this but I figure if he can ride a horse, he can ride a ATV. He's almost two so I have a few more years to convince her. Comments??? Tom |

Hello, You do have a long time to wait if your son is only two years old. We took one of our Grandsons with us to Alaska this year. We stayed at a lodge near where our son and his family lives and our grandson got to ride their ATV the whole time we were there. Of course he is 14...so that makes a big difference. :mock My husband has two of them so he can take a Grandson with him riding in the hills. It is hard to find a place to ride here. We have wide open country with a lot of restrictions for ATV's and Snow Mobile's. :atv You seem to be keeping your mind busy with healthy thinking though. kelsh

Hi Tom. Most the ATV talk in here is by me. Im really into quads. Big time. I ride at least a couple times a week. I own two of them for now. I did have three. I would be happy to answer any questions you have about quads. Doesnt have to be that far down the road for your son. Defineatly doesnt have to wait til he's 14. By the time he's 14 he could be riding a TRX450R like me. As young as 4 or 5 he could ride a 50cc quad. Put him through an ATV safety course first. I dont think Honda makes a 50 anymore. I'm a Honda guy. But Yamaha does. They make a little Raptor that would be perfect for him. Auto Tranny http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/pr...21/0/home.aspx Something like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym0VC2vCIjQ The mini Raptor is cooler though. Go brand name. Don't waste your time and $ on a cheap Chineese copy quad. Quads hold their value pretty well if you keep it well maintained. Put him on the 50 for a couple years and move him up to a TRX90. 4 speed tranny. http://powersports.honda.com/Atvs/Sp...X7&w=829&h=634 |

Thanks all. Again, it will be quite awhile before he is of age. I'll ask agin when the time comes. Not that you could even compare, but Powerwheels makes an ATV model, that has a new all terrain wheel that's supposed to run in wet grass, dirt, etc... Tom |
