So after long term drinking (6 months every day)

Is it normal to have a headache and bloodshot eyes for 2 weeks once you stop drinking.

Could be. The best thing would be talk it over with your Dr.
When we stop our body needs to adjust. Sleep doesn't always come in a normal pattern and it could be something as simple as that. Restless sleep.
2 weeks seems like a long time but for the body to get itself back where it wants to be... a few more weeks may be what it needs.

Congratulations on the 2 weeks.
You are past the toughest part. Still may be a few rough spots along the way but it does get better....much better.
Sober sure is a great way. So glad I stopped as well.

It does seem like a long time but then everybody detoxes in different ways. I agree that you might want to talk to your Dr. and get his/her opinion. I know that my eyes didn't start getting their whiteness back for almost a month after I quit but I never got the pleasure of the headaches.

Congratulations on the 2 weeks!!

Scott

My eyes are getting better and the headaches are fading. I might be a monther too. I cannot believe the punishment alcohol did on my body.
