Inland Empire Sober Gay Guys - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Hey Guys.... Gay male here. Divorced dad..two kids. Just finished 40 days in a residential treatment center in Pasadena. I'm currently in Alta Loma, with my Ex and 2 kids for a short time while I try to find a suitable sober living house. At the same time, I'm reaching out to see if there is a gay/bi/sober network of any sort out there. I welcome any info...as well as chat/email with anyone in similar situation.

I know where I live, there are gay and lesbian aa meetings
i would try a google search for something similar in your area

also, in aa it doesn't matter what your orientation is, we are all bonded by our alcoholism
there are several gay members in a group I go to twice a week, it is a non-issue for us
and i'm in the bible belt

i'm sure it would be the same in CA

I went to a GLBT AA meeting once, and I was surprised at how faith-based it was. They even ended with "The Lord's Prayer."

there is a great Gay N/A meeting in Riverside on wednesdays at 7:30 pm. It is located at the Plum House. The group dynamic is great, well worth the drive.

I might check sobercircle too, I know that around my neighborhood in Chicago there's a gay everything... including NA meetings

I also attend some online meetings at narecoverychat.org, which is an NA group. I'm definitely not the only gay guy there, which is really nice and I've made some good friends there.
