Feel free to add and post your own tips, and links

I hope in time this can be a permanent sticky thread at the top of the forum.

This is incredible. I would also like to recommend a book called the secret addiction by t. Deramus for those needing guidance and instruction on the process of quitting. I think it is going to aid me immensely.

Thank you for this list, Dee!!

This is the NIH NIDA link to current research on Marijuana Use. I found it interesting, and there are several pages and links to follow from this "front page".

Oh, and for those not in the US, the NIH is the National Institutes of Health, and NIDA is a subsidiary--National Institute on Drug Abuse.

Exclamation Help for Family and Friends

Hello to all those who are a family member, friend or a loved one of a pot addict.
You are very welcome here

Here are some links for you for extra support and help

MarAnon
Mar-Anon is a fellowship of those affected by another person’s marijuana use. Its foundation is the Twelve Steps, adapted from Marijuana Anonymous, which can be a powerful, life-changing tool. We come together to work the steps and offer hope, comfort and support for other members. We are not a religious group, instead we use the steps as a path of self-discovery and personal change.

SMART Recovery for Family and Friends
We provide effective, easy-to-learn tools to help both you and your loved one. Our methods are based on the tools of SMART Recovery and CRAFT Therapy (Community Reinforcement & Family Training). Our meetings — available both in-person and online — provide concerned significant others the tools they need to effectively support their loved one, without supporting the addictive behavior.

And, of course, we have a Family and Friends forum here at SR for even more support
