The humor in our children...

Good Morning all! I was lying in bed with my oldest son last night (he is 12 going on 30) and he was asking me funny stories about himself as a little boy. This was easy for me because he was quite the character in his wee years- even in my active addiction I could rattle them off to him....

So I thought this would be a really good thread to start- funny little stories that our children did to be sweet or humiliating or 'unmanagable'!

I came home from work when my oldest was 2 years old and was told a little story by his dad....

Dad says he was looking all over for the little 2 year old...calling his name but Jake was nowhere to be found. Finally he walks into the bathroom and there is Jacob, butt naked, in the bathtub standing up covered from head to toe in shaving cream. Dad asks "Jacob! What in the world are you doing?" Jacob giggles and replies "You can't see me! I am Casper!"......

Oh how I wish I had seen that little demon...(I mean angel) with shaving cream slathered all over him- his dad says the only part not coated were his teeth...and he was smiling from ear to ear!

Anyway, last night as I talked to my son I felt a sense of happiness. We were talking. And being that he is 12, it doesnt happen that often!

Thanks for letting me tell my little story. I would love to hear more.

OHHHHH Tooooooo adorable!!!!! LMAO!! Great Thread!!

I have an embarrassing one......My now 13 yr old son (also going on 30) was I believe around 5 or 6 yrs. old..... He and I were standing in the check - out line in a VERY busy grocery store, he was sooooooo proud because he was getting really good at sounding out big words........un-be-knownst to me, he was standing there reading the magizine covers.......just when things all around us seemed to go to a quiet noise level, out of the blue he turns to me and VERY loudly because he was sooooooo proud he sounded it out in his head, he asks..... HEY MOM WHATS AN OR-GA-SIM???????
Needless to say, the lines in the next 3 lanes on either side of us as well as ours and the cashiers ALL came to a sliding halt........As I was trying to figure out how to best handle this and not completely dissolve into the floor AND keep a straight face and NOT look at anyone but him for fear of totally busting a gut, and be a good Mommy....... I stared at him for what felt like forever and then after I gained a small amount of composure, I very calmly replied.....Well Son, an orgasm is something that only LUCKY adults have!

For the love of Pete, he was fine with this and went on to something else....of course he couldnt understand the boiling laughter that soon erupted and the cheers I got!!! I can lmao about it today but ohhhhhh how I wanted to KILL Cosmo Magazine that day!!!!! LMAO

Ahhhhhh......"Out of the mouths of Babes!!!!!"
Love Liss

Over 30 years ago.....
While my friend and I were having a snack, her prek son and my toddler daughter were playing in the bedroom- very quietly. They soon came into the kitchen and the boy had completely covered her with baby powder!
She had one of those large snap lock plastic beads in her mouth, which was powder free..... and it looked like a light bulb! I had to shake out her clothes forever! Even her hair was white, the powder was embedded down to the her scalp!
We laughed so hard! He had such a surprised look on his face! And she had no expression at all- just a giant bead!

cmc, this goes back a long time too.
Took daughter to the zoo. When we came to the elephants, daughter said
The elephant picks his nose and eats it! LOL
