Did anyone see that David Blaine show on TV last night? I only saw a snippet ("The Apprentice" was on and I have my priorities ).

But I was reading a thing about the underwater stunt on AOL news this morning and you should see the photos of his hands. YIKES. Talk about body damage! They also had a photo summary of his other stunts, one of which was CUTTING OFF HIS EAR AT A PRESS CONFERENCE to promote another stunt.

.....shudder.....

What's up with that guy?

I didn't see it and have never really cared for his stunts and all the publicity they gain. He enjoys pushing his body to the limit! He is a great illusionist though. If you ever get a chance to catch a street magic show that he's done, please try and watch it. They've played it on A&E many times and it is very entertaining. He has some of the most amazing card tricks on there I've ever seen in my life.

I didn't watch it either, Jane, but I saw a pic. of his hands - yuck!! The guy just gives me the creeps, and what are they gonna do w/ all that water now? (joke)

I watched the Apprentice, too - why didn't we ever start a thread about that?

Oh, I have seen a couple of his street magic shows--great stuff. (And people's responses to his levitating trick are pretty entertaining, too!)

Yep-- his levitations are really good and rather creepy. I cannot figure out how he does those things. He is amazing. Ditto on the sewage water.

I watched the show out of curiosity if he could pull it off, but he didnt. kinda wish I didnt watch the show now because for some reason ABC aired a segment where a lady died actually showed the incident. Personally I thaught that was inappropriate. Maybe it is just me. But I do have to agree he is a good magician
